Welcome to homelablog.dev!

I’ve been a software developer for almost 20 years, working across multiple industries and technologies — these days mostly building microservices in Go. I’ve gone through a lot of languages, frameworks, and shifts in the industry, but one thing hasn’t changed: I like understanding how things actually work under the hood.

This blog (and the channel that goes with it) is the record of the “outside of work” side of that — my homelab. Here I document everything I’m building: home automation (Zigbee, Home Assistant), self-hosted infrastructure (Gitea, CI/CD, deploy pipelines), networking and security (Pi-hole, VPN), and local storage/media.

This isn’t polished “homelab expert” content — it’s the real process, mistakes included. If a post here covers a deploy error or a config that broke before it worked, that’s because that’s exactly how it happened.
